Koehler Drafted as STF | PR New Media Director

Cindy Morrison, a reporter on KTUL-TV in Tulsa and an Oklahoma Social Media Club member, did a great story on social media yesterday focusing on the filming of Schnake Turnbo Frank | PR's YouTube announcement of Mike Koehler (also an OSMC member) as its New Media Director.

The Oklahoma Social Media Club was a critical part of the entire process, from developing the job description (more difficult than one might imagine), and identifying the professional and personal traits a person would need to be successful in this job, to brainstorming ideas for how the final announcment would be made and what that person should do straight out of the gate. If you've been following the campaign, you know that we used much of the guidance offered. Thank you very, very much for the support.

One interesting note, is that successfully we predicted that the person selected would come from the membership of OSMC. In fact, all top five candidates are current members of this community.

The campaign wasn't perfect, there were mistakes and learning opportunities along the way, but we were transparent and took advantage of two-way communication throughout the process. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you think we could have done better.
